Sacramento Cooking Oil Recycling Campaign (CORC) is a community service project of the Sustainable Energy Education and Research organization, SEER, developed to:
- Establish recycling specifications for used cooking oil as a feedstock for biofuels
- Work with local businesses and community interests for recycling collaboration
- Implement systems for collecting only the cooking oil favorable for biofuels
- Provide incentives, education and support for participants to fulfill recycling requirements
- Implement a promotion oriented certification process for recycling participants
- Provide health and sustainable energy education for businesses and consumers
- Offer agricultural oil crop production, processing and marketing assistance
- Create funding to further sustainable energy education and research projects
