Residential and Commercial Cooking Oil Recycling Drop Off

Sacramento Cooking Oil Recycling Campaign has a new location to drop off your used cooking oil for recycling into local biodiesel.

 5311 Price Ave, McClellan, CA 95652 (inside McClellan Business Park)

Directions To Recycling Site and Drop Box:
 Enter into McClellan Business Park from Watt Ave onto Peacekeeper Way. Take Peacekeeper Way until it ends and turn right onto Price Ave. Take Price Ave for about 200 yards going past a parking lot and past the 1st building on the left. The 2nd building on the left is your destination 5311 Price Ave where you will see the recycling drop box on the left in the corner where the chain link fence meets the building. Place your sealed containers in the box marked "Cooking Oil Recycling". Thank you!
Recycling Drop Site Requirements:
Please be sure your used cooking oil is in sealed leak proof containers and free from non recyclable contaminates such as water, excessive food scraps or any waste materials other than the used oil itself so we can re-purpose it into local biodiesel for a cleaner environment and a sustainable local economy.

We can accept residential and commercial used cooking oil at this site. For restaurants and commercial food services that generate ongoing used cooking oil, we have professional collection services that will provide you with a recycling container and collect from your premises on a regular schedule. Sacramento Cooking Oil Recycling Campaign (CORC) is a community service project of the Sustainable Energy Education and Research organization, SEER, developed to:

  • Establish recycling specifications for used cooking oil as a feedstock for biofuels
  • Work with local businesses and community interests for recycling collaboration
  • Implement systems for collecting only the cooking oil favorable for biofuels
  • Provide incentives, education and support for participants to fulfill recycling requirements
  • Implement a promotion oriented certification process for recycling participants
  • Provide health and sustainable energy education for businesses and consumers
  • Offer agricultural oil crop production, processing and marketing assistance
  • Create funding to further sustainable energy education and research projects
